Friendly Chapel Church was established in 1965 as a fundamental independently incorporated New Testament Church. We are committed to preaching the Gospel message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that focuses on His death, burial, resurrection and ascension as victor over sin and death. We uphold the complete Authorized King James Bible (Old & New Testament) as the inspired, inerrant, infallible Holy Word of God. We acknowledge that although portions of scripture may have not been written directly to the New Testament Church; we stand firm that all scripture is written for the believer, and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, and instruction (II Tim 3:16).

It is our affirmation that we serve the one true God of the Holy Scriptures; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the supreme and sovereign Creator of all creation, including mankind. It is evident from scripture that from the beginning God has existed as a perfect Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are all present as one and yet they are manifested as three distinct but equal persons. (Deut 6:4; II Cor 13:14).

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, the creator. Man enjoyed earthly dominion and perfect fellowship with God. This dominion was forfeited and man was separated from God through Satanic deception and a willing choice of disobedience. Adam’s sin against God’s Law left all of mankind born into a state of total depravation, and completely lost without self-remedy (Gen 1:26-27; Rom 3:23; Eph 2:1-3, 12).

It is our firm belief that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God. Having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He willingly chose to be reduced to the form of a man so that He may reveal God’s Glory and redeem sinful mankind (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; 7:14; Phil 2:5-8; Gal 4:4-5). This redemption was accomplished as Jesus was the pure, perfect, spotless Lamb of God who

on the cross was the substitutionary sacrifice for our sin debt and impending eternal death sentence. Our justification is confirmed by His physical resurrection from the dead (Rom 3:24-25; I Peter 2:24; Eph 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5). We rejoice that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God. Here He serves as our High Priest, and acts as every believer’s Intercessor and Advocate (Acts 1:9-10; Heb 9:24, 7:25; Rom 8:34; I John 2:1-2).

Considering man’s sinful condition we support the clear message that salvation is “repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21). We believe that salvation is solely “by grace” and cannot be earned by any effort from man. Men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the shedding of His precious blood (Eph 2:8-10; John 1:12; I Peter 1:18-19).

We believe that every man is born with a measure of faith and has the free will to choose or reject salvation’s call that has come through the preaching of God’s Word and the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 12:3; II Peter 3:9; John 7:17; John 6:44; I Cor 1:18-21). We believe that once a believer has repented of their sin, confessed Jesus Christ as LORD, and has accepted and experienced the redemptive work of Calvary; that believer is kept by God’s power and is secure in Christ forever. (John 6:37-40, 10:27-30; Rom 8:1, 38-39; Rom 10:9-10; I Cor 1:4-8; I Peter 1:4-5; Jude 1, 2).

We stand convinced that although man is not saved by good works or deed; redeemed man will display evidence of faith by practicing a lifestyle in accordance with God’s Holy standards (James 2:17-18). This evidence will be confirmed by the bearing of the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit (Matt 7:16; Gal 5:22-23). A redeemed child of God is instructed and matured through their local church to live in such a manner to not bring reproach upon their LORD and Savior (Acts14:27; 20:17, 28-32; I Tim 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11).

As a New Testament church we are a local assembly of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission of our LORD Jesus Christ. We will continue in His good grace until our “Blessed Hope” returns. This is we anxiously anticipate Jesus Christ’s imminent, literal, personally, and visibly return in the clouds for His church. We trust this catching away will be pretribulation and premillennial rapture of both the dead in Christ and the saved believers who remain (I Thess 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; I Thess 1:10; Rev 3:10;

Zech 14:4-11; Rev 19:11-16, 20:1-6; Psalm 89:3-4).

We believe in the eternal existence and resurrection of all men. The saved are resurrected to eternal life and a “glorified” body in the everlasting presence of God (I Cor 15:42-54). We believe at death the souls of the redeemed are absent from the body and present with the LORD, where they await resurrection (Luke 23:43; Rev 20:4-6; II Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23, 3:21; I Thess 4:16-17). The unsaved are resurrected from torturous misery to appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and then to endure endless condemnation. The unbeliever’s eternal state is one of literal and physical agony in the unquenchable Lake of Fire forever separated from the presence of God(Matt 25:46; John 5:28, 29, 11:25-26; Rev 20:5-6, 11-15).

We ask you today, that if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your savior that you: call upon His name, admit that you are a sinner, repent of your sin, and ask Him to save your soul. We believe that “whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved”. Do not delay this decision for “now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation”! (Rom 10:13; II Cor 6:2)
